Windows 10: How do I disable Windows 10 back up my data when installing update?

I don't want Windows 10 back up my old Windows before installing new update to save my time because I don't have any important data.

I apologize; I did not word my question properly. I meant that I do not know which specific forum within TechNet to use ("File Services," "Backup - Windows and Windows Server," etc.).

You will be able to delete the Windows.old folder right afterwards if you like.

I'm not aware of a way to prevent the Windows.old folder from being created when upgrading Windows.

That's just silly, why would you want to ? If something goes wrong with the installation (yeah, NO install complaints ever posted here *Banghead ), you're not happy with the features or an old program doesn't work, should you not be allowed to roll back ? A very small percentage of users would EVER have a system image on hand to reinstall.

What you want to do then, is called clean install including wiping all partitions, lol.

 

What happens if there isn't enough space for Windows.Old ? I haven't tested that scenario.

 

Doesn't Setup still work the way it did for the first release?
