Windows 10: How do I disable windows 10 from starting media or youtube files that are open just because...

Every time I turn my headphones on my PC starts playing stuff. Most of the time, more than one thing starts playing. It's an absolutely trash user experience.


Oh by the way, it plays out of the speakers, not even the headphones I just turned on........


Thanks for your help and sorry for my attitude. I'm having "one of those days" but I would absolutely love you if you can provide a solution.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Cannot open youtube by IE and Edge

Hi,

Let's isolate the cause of the issue. Are you using an Insider Preview build on your PC? If you are using an Insider Preview build and if you are in Fast Ring, we suggest that you update your computer to the new build 15031 and check if the issue persists.

We also recommend that you disable the VPN and Proxifier on your computer and check if you can access YouTube.

If the issue persists, let's use a new InPrivate window to access Youtube. To open a new InPrivate window in Edge, follow the steps below:

• Open Edge.
• Click on the three dots icon on the upper-right part of the screen.
• Click New InPrivate window.
