Windows 10: How do I disconnect my microsoft account from my pc without deleting it?

I want to completely reset my pc removing everything, and remove the microsoft account that's currently connected to it. But I don't want to delete my microsoft account, I need it to sign in to onedrive on my phone. I simply want my pc completely clean with nothing on it. So how do I go about doing this?

To guide you in the right direction, I need more information from the computer by answering the following questions:

• When you say, delete my Microsoft Account do you wish to switch to Local account from Microsoft account?
• Do you wish to delete the any other accounts which has been added?

We cannot delete Microsoft account when we have logged in to the system. However we can switch to Local account from MS account.

I suggest you to follow the steps on how to switch from Microsoft account to Local account:

  Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Local account instead.

It's quite easy in fact, simply switch the account in question first to a local account, then switch back to a Microsoft account, this time using your wife's MS account credentials.

Notice that before doing this you need to remove the new additional MS account on the PC, the one you created with her credentials.
