Windows 10: How do I dismiss notifications?

It seems the only to dismiss notifications is to individually click on each one which then opens the appropriate app. If I have say, 15 email notifications I have to click on the email notification 15 times to dismiss it entirely. This is super annoying and there must be a better way. NOTE I do not want to disable notifications, just dismiss them.

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

 

WM6.1 Dismiss Alarm Notification

morning, i am not recicng any popup notification at the bottom of the screen like i used to on mh wm5 device the alarm goes off and i dont get any message to snooze or dismiss just an alarm icon at the top of the screen when i click it i then get the notification
to dismiss i have also found the same with calendar remindefs and rhe alarm goes off but no dismis Notification. thanks

Notification dismissed on laptop returns on desktop

I have Windows 10 on both my desktop and laptop and am having problems with one particular app (Smartschool, the learning and communication platform at our school).

During the day, I work on my laptop and dismiss notifications in the Action Center for messages that have come in in the Smartschool app. But when I switch on my desktop in the evening, the notifications that I have dismissed on my laptop during the day,
are all back in the Action Center on my desktop ... (Other way round just the same: notifications by that particular app that I have dismissed on my desktop, return on my laptop. I use the same Microsoft account on both computers, of course.)

Notifications that I have dismissed on both my laptop and desktop don't return on either computer, fortunately.

I only have this problem with this particular app, but the developer says that they haven't changed anything (and I believe them). The problem only started after I had to 'reset' Windows on my laptop.

I removed and reinstalled the app on both desktop and laptop but to no avail.

Does anyone have any idea what else I can try to solve this problem?
