got a new ssd sata, and I removed one of the old ssds I had, thinking it was storage not the system ssd. Turns out it was the system ssd. I have already wiped the old ssd I took out before I realized my mistake because weeks before my new ssd came in I had to put the old one into my ps4 because I got the light of death. I have the windows disc and key and everything and a disc drive external but plugged into a usb 3.1 in the back of my pc but for some reason when I go to boot up the pc to download windows I get an error message stating “an operating system wasn’t found. Old Hard drive to new hard drive

I now have my old hard drive converted to an external drive and am wondering what is the best way to move files from the old to the new. I was thinking of booting the old drive and saving the files I want to the cloud and then downloading them to my new
computer. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

 

How to stop File History on the old drive and start File History on a new drive?

I use the external drive
for File History and have a lot of information there. I want to restart the File History process on a new drive and place the previous File History drive off-site.

Please suggest the steps to stop File History on the old drive and start File History on a new drive.
