Windows 10: How do I duplicate extended displays?

Hello. Thanks for the opportunity to submit a question.Edition Windows 10 Pro for Workstations Version 22H2 Installed on ‎4/‎14/‎2024 OS build 19045.4291 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19056.1000.0 Dell small form factor Precision Tower 3420.It came provisioned with 4 mini DP ports.Displays are currently connected via mini DP to VGA Adapters.Display 1 and 2 are extended. If you haven't tried this, it's sweet.My "D I S P L A Y" is two screens wide.I'm sitting too long at my desk, so added standing desk nearby.Display 3 and 4 are alive and well on the standing desk.How do I du

Windows 10 will extend display but won't duplicate

Trying top duplicate screen to Vizio TV through a HDMI cable. It will perform 2 of the 4 options properly(display to Laptop Only, display to TV only, extend the display between both, duplicate display on both) Results of each:

1. Display to Laptop ONLY: Works fine

2. Display to TV ONLY: Works fine

3. Duplicate the display on both: I get "No Signal" on the TV

4. Extend the display between both: works fine

 

Duplicate to extend multiple display control.

When I switch from duplicate to extend with multiple displays, how can I control which screen automatically shows what was previously on the duplicated screen?

 

How to stop automatic duplicate/extend displays


Hello all! I'm using my Windows 10 laptop with a secondary external monitor which i want to use as a display, without the laptop's built-in display. The problem is, despite i set to show the image only on the secondary (external) monitor, after each restart or after i close the laptop's lid, it reverts to duplicating the image (or extends it, if select extend inside of duplicate). How can i stop this?? I have to manually reselect to show the image on the 2nd display only. Thanks!
