    Quotation marks + apostrophes are curly (“) by default instead of regular (") quotation marks and apostrophes (Notion)

    When typing in Notion, instead of inputting regular quotation marks and apostrophes when the respective keys are pressed I get curly quotation marks and curly apostrophes instead

    Changing the keyboard layout/language has not solved the problem, neither has using a different user account

    This could potentially be caused due to an accidentally inputted keyboard shortcut? Though I'm not sure about that. I've seen Ctrl + Shift + ' suggested before, but that didn't fix the issue.

    Hi ihm80, I am Paulo and I'd like to help.

    Is this happening everywhere in your Windows or only in Word app? In my case, the default in my Windows is straight quotes. But If it is only in Word, there is an option to replace straight quotes with curly quotes. If you prefer straight quotes, go to File > Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options... > AutoFormat As You Type then uncheck the option "Straight quotes with smart quotes".

    If not, can you specify where is this showing?

    Suddenly, when in the middle of a document, my Word for Windows 10 started making two quotation marks, or two apostrophes, when I hit the key.
