How do I edit the title of a file displayed in the Playlist pane?

Google's AI says to right-click on the file in the WMP library and select EDIT, but EDIT is grayed out. A youtube video said to go to the properties of the file itself, and edit the title within the details tab in there, but I couldn't do that either. I thought that perhaps I still need to add the file itself to the library not just the playlist, but I don't see how to do that either.

    :)

  2. Song Titles, Artist, Album names in burned Playlist

I have an extensive music collection, but most listening is to playlists. I have tried to follow all hints, suggestions, and directions found (even purchased Uniconverter). Unfortunately, I have never been able to produce a Cd which will play on a car audio system and display song names, artist, etc. on the player screen. Can someone please outline a step by step procedure for either beginning with an existing playlist, or creating one, then continuing through all of the steps necessary to produce a playable Cd with track and artist info displayed.

  3. WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER PLAYLIST SEARCH

As of now, the option that you wanted for Windows Media Player is currently not available. We suggest that you send us a feedback regarding this concern so we could better improve how Windows Media Player works. To send a feedback, click
    here.

For now, you may also follow this steps on how to find which Playlist a particular song is placed:

    • Click on one of your Playlists.
    • Go to the Search box, and then type the title of the song.

If the song is on that particular Playlist, it would show up.

If the song is not on the Playlist, you would get a message: There are no items matching "Title of the song" in this view.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

XBox Music Will Not Display My Playlists

    Thanks Gary,

It will create and play new playlists.

I also did the following things, sequentially:

    1) Created a new playlist, but with no new tracks. This works OK. By default, it still saves to the phone.

    2) Accessed hidden folder windows phone/phone/music/playlist using my computer and file explorer. Copied and pasted an old (missing) playlist from and to that folder. Upon restart of the phone, this playlist was not visible.

    3) Per your query, I added a track to the new playlist of step 1. Saved it. Played it. Hey presto, the pasted playlist of step 2 is now visible, and plays. (Albeit with a title that includes the {long title}.

So - I think I have a working solution to this.

Many thanks for now. I'll update once I've had more of a play with this.
