  2. How to stop File History on the old drive and start File History on a new drive?

    I use the external drive
for File History and have a lot of information there. I want to restart the File History process on a new drive and place the previous File History drive off-site.

Please suggest the steps to stop File History on the old drive and start File History on a new drive.

    Windows 10 File History/Previous Versions

Is it not possible to enable file history in Windows 10 without connecting an external hard drive or a network path, as it used to work in Windows 7? I am trying to enable the file history to get the previous versions but it says "No usable drives found".

Does Microsoft really want us to keep an external drive connected to our devices all the time so that this feature could work?

I haven't found any answer online, everywhere i see that an external drive is a must to use this feature in windows 10.

Anyone else facing this issue ?

How do I enable file history, or previous versions for the files on my secondary hard drive?

    Stored files in Hard Drive

You can use Windows search. Just search for *.* on a desired drive. When list is done just arrange them by size LOL.

You can do it via command line as well and make an output text file showing files and their sizes (but without arrangement)
