Windows 10: How do I enable the wireless flight mode switch? Windows 10

Hi,I've recently changed the WLAN card in my Dell M6800 laptop and now the physical switch on the side of the laptop doesn't do anything*. the WLAN and Bluetooth are working fine and I can enable and disable them through Windows, and I can activate Flight mod through Windows but I'd like to be able to activate Flight mode or otherwise disable the wireless on the laptop with the physical switch as well.I had a look in BIOS and all the boxes are ticked but it mentions that for Windows 8 and presumably later this is controlled though the OS but I can't find where. Wireless not installed but Flight Mode Option available

@Syed Md Bilal - Flight mode button is still active and displayed in Action Centre without having a Wifi or any other Radio i.e. BlueTooth installed on this machine. Not clear why this would have anything to do with LAN Network

adapters but your suggestion did not make any difference for the record.

 

N85 Flight safe mode?

Thanks for your replies. I see that your n85s do not have a separate flight mode either; however, my questions still remain:

1. Why does the user guide refer to two distinct profiles: offline and flight?

2. Most airlines do not permit the use of devices with any wifi or bluetooth enabled (eg AirNZ 'The following may be used after take-off and before landing, when the seatbelt sign is off:

* portable computers - provided no wireless communication connections are used' WLAN and bluetooth are both wireless communication connections). These airlines would not consider the n85s offline mode to be a flight mode as both wlan and bluetooth are still
enabled. I know how to switch these off but a separate flight mode which switches these capabilities off in one simple step when boarding a flight is a better option. Why doesn't the n85 have this?

WiFi faster in flight mode

I have had issues for several weeks whereby in normal mode my wireless on a Dell E7450 gives speeds of 200-300Kb/s (measured using fast.com) however if I switch on Flight Mode and activate WiFi I get 75Mb/s.

This is 100% repeatable across multiple access points.

I have tried switching off Bluetooth and running normally i.e. no in Flight Mode, the result is the same. I have deleted the WiFi drivers and reinstalled them yet the issue remains.

Any suggestions what may be causing this issue?

I am running Win10 1909 build 18363.752
