Windows 10: How do I escape diagnostic boot if I can't login, access bios, or access recovery mode?

Hi,I've been setting up windows 11 on a Lenovo slim 7 pro x. I was encountering a DRIVER_VERIFIER_DMA_VIOLATION BSOD when trying to access boot options so I decided to try diagnostic boot to see if I could track down the cause of the problem. This has left me unable to login by windows hello and pin, and I cannot access recovery mode or a boot menu because of the BSOD above which occurs only when trying to access these. So I can't access boot menus/recovery mode, and I can't login. What can I do to escape diagnostic boot and login again?Thanks

Cant access BIOS in Legacy mode

You don`t need to get into the Bios to boot from a different source, you need to bring up the Boot Menu (F8) for me. Then you choose what you want to boot from.

The Boot Menu should give you a list of bootable options, in this case a UEFI usb stick choice, and a non UEFI usb stick choice.

 

access BIOS settings in Win 10

I have an 8-year old computer running Win 10. I need to access the BIOS settings. It used to be the holding down the F2 key during startup would bring up the BIOS screen in Windows computers. But this no longer works. A web article listed a complicated
series of steps leading to a reboot . . . but still no access to BIOS. Any suggestions?

F8 doesn't work on UEFI boot. I needed to restart my machine a couple of times while windows was loading to force it into safe mode so Windows could see that booting was interrupted as opposed to crashing immediately after startup. It will do that when Windows fails to init a handful of times. The problem is that Windows doesn't know that the driver is at fault because Windows successfully boots, despite the fact that it crashed almost immediately. Restarting during Windows init will register a failed startup attempt so after a couple times it will send you to recovery mode where you can select safe mode.
