    I understand that you wanted to remove drawing canvas from your email. Just follow these few steps below.

    Select File > Options.

    Select Mail in the navigation pane on the left.

    Click the 'Editor Options...' button in the 'Compose messages' section.

    Select Advanced in the navigation pane on the left.

    Clear the check box 'Automatically create drawing canvas when inserting AutoShapes' in the 'Editing options' section.

    Click OK, then click OK again.

    I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    Usually you can just double click outside the canvas to exit the canvas, if that does not work for you, what Email application and Email service do you use?
