Windows 10: How do I export File Directory information including name & title, in CSV format?

I would like to export data from a large list of files I have into a csv or xls format. I need to export the title and also filename - there are a number of tutorials on how to export the filename only but can't find any way of exporting other metadata. Any help greatly appreciated.

Exporting in CSV format into excel not working

I used to be able to export from a wordpress website a list of event bookings in CSV format which would automatically open in Excel. Now it opens in notepad which is useless to me. How can I restore opening in Excel?

 

Error Exporting windows contact to vcf file

Hi Kamesh,

I first imported the names and mobile numbers from a CSV file by following the below steps.

1. Search--> Contacts--> Import --> Choose the CSV file; this will convert the CSV file to windows contact format.

2. Contacts-->export--> VCF --> will convert the windows contact to VCF file. This step gives an error message "Error Exporting contacts".

Not quite sure what the volunteers here in the forums did for you but I will say thanks on behalf of who ever helped you out. I am sure that you are aware that those that help out here are users just like you.

Of course, I use Outlook on my PC and sync with my device. As you know Outlook mobile is NOT a full version of Outlook but rather a version adapted to meet most needs of the mobile user. If you need to export your contacts, I would suggest syncing with
Outlook then use the File/import Export option.

I did take a moment to look to see if there was something out there that would do it directly from your device and found this program on MoDaCo.com: TBexport contacts CSV

Paul, a fellow MVP indicated that it will do the following:

Export WM6 contacts to comma separated file (csv). This application allows you to quickly export contacts from WM6 into a comma separated file (csv). This file can be used to easily import contacts to Mozilla Thunderbird 2 without modification or field
matching. Provided as-is. Or used for any other .CSV reader !
