Windows 10: How do I factory reset a window 11 pc when I don't have the microsoft ID, nor the recovery...

Recently I was gifted a pc from a co worker because he didn't know how to unlock the pc, since he didn't have the microsoft ID, recovery or the password. I was trying to factory reset it but every time the Bitlocker comes up and doesn't let me reset it. its a HP window 11 laptop. any soluction on how I can bypass and remove the bitlocker so I can factory reset?

Yes, need to clarify .... "reset" is a generic meaningless term.
- Windows recovery ?
- proprietary device recovery (factory default setting) ? (Absolutely NOT recommended if this was the case)
- and/or Windows repair (often confused/interchanged with "recovery" ?

Factory Reset Win 7 (without disc)

Download an ISO of the Avira AV boot CD, burn it on your own computer, and then boot from that CD on your mom's computer and run a cleanup.

Seriously, you should just download a Windows disc and format the laptop. Best and easiest course of action.
