Windows 10: How do I find a copy of a printer Copy 2 in Windows 10?

HP printer w/ wireless connection to home network. Windows 10 laptop w/ wireless connection to home network lists HP printer as Copy 2 in Devices and has trouble submitting print jobs from Office apps to the printer. If I remove the printer and add it back it shows up as Copy 2. This suggests that Windows 10 sees it as one of several printers available and can't figure out where to send the print job. Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks.

automatically adds duplicate printer copy

I have encountered an issue on Windows 10.

I have an older printer which works fine on initial setup. Prints and is set to default

• MY_BEST_Printer

The issue comes in when I unplug the USB cable and after some time plug, it back in it adds a new duplicate copy of the same printer.

• MY_BEST_Printer (Copy 1)

This new duplicated printer is not set to default, so obviously, it does not send print file to the same queue pool and it does not get printed.

And if I keep plugging and unplugging it keeps adding new duplicates.

• MY_BEST_Printer Default

• MY_BEST_Printer (Copy 1)

• MY_BEST_Printer (Copy 2)

Is there a way to stop Windows 10 from adding the same printer as a duplicate if it sees that it is the same printer?

 

Printer only prints one copy no matter how many multiple copies I enter

Windows 10 Surface Pro is the PC that I'm trying to print multiple copies of a document from.

Canon Copier is what I'm trying to print to.

Are there any suggestions on fixing this?

This IS NOT a HP Printer: The below fix does not apply. Oh, how I wish it were that easy!

Disable Mopier mode - this mode is used when the printer has an EIO hard disk installed. If the printer doesn’t have one, it will only print one copy.

1. Open the (Devices and) Printers Control Panel.
2. Right-click on the printer, and choose (Printer) Properties.
3. Click the Device Settings tab.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the list, and change “Mopier Mode” to “Disabled”, then click OK.

 

I need a new printer.

Do the above suggested printers jam up easy? If there is 2 pieces of office equipment I loathe, 1st is copy machines, and 2nd is printers.
