    How do I find a lost unsaved Notepad note? The notepad that comes with Windows.


    I accidently deleted a lot of notes i need and I cant find them now.

    How to recover unsaved notepad files?

    I understand that you wanted to recover the unsaved Notepad files. Please follow the steps below to recover unsaved Notepad files.

    *Click the Search button on your Windows then type %AppData%, and click Enter. This will open your Roaming folder.

    *Type .txt in the search bar on the upper right then look for the Notepad files. To restore an unsaved text file notepad, click the file from the search result and see if you can recover the unsaved Notepad.

    Restore the unsaved notepad file

    Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    Notepad is the most basic of text editors, there is no method to restore unsaved work, it does not create temporary files, the text resides in RAM until it is saved and if Notepad is closed before saving the data, it is lost.
