Windows 10: How do I find and then pin YouTube in Win 10?

I've just upgraded to Win 10 from 8.1. However, I cannot find the YouTube app to click on or pin to the taskbar. Each time I want YouTube I have to visit the site. On 8.1 I just clicked the taskbar icon. Does anyone know how I can restore YouTube to the taskbar? Note: It does not show up as an app in the start menu.

I have no idea what it mean's either. I copied the address from the site it link's to.
Then posted it here and it turned weird on me.

Maybe someone else will stop by later with a better idea and link.

Like the one above, I found more apps for YouTube but, they were all for cell phone's.

 

Why not just put the link on your bookmark toolbar and use that?

 

I could do, but that's a workaround. I would like to know I can't pin the YouTube link to my taskbar. I could in Win 8.1. I know there is some tension between MS and Google over YouTube and am wondering if that is the reason MS is making it difficult to 'stick' the YouTube shortcut. Haven't other users noticed this anomaly?

 

Which browser do you use? If it is chrome, open youtube, go to chrome customize options, add to taskbar. There is a bug in w10 when it won't be added to taskbar but it will appear in start. Go to start, and from there you can pin it to taskbar.

Another complaint: I hate the missing toolbars in Edge, notably the absent 'Favourites.' I know I can open the folders by clicking, but I want the items on permanent display across the top of the screen, as with all previous iterations of IE.

I'm giving serious consideration to rolling back to 8.1. In my opinion, the MS development team have succumbed to the temptation to shoehorn users into a micro-managed software environment that suits software engineers rather than everyday users.

SORRY FOR THE DOUBLE POST

 

Go to your Desktop and right-click. Hover on New then click shortcut. In the box put in "YouTube" then click next. Name the icon Youtube and click finish. You can stop here, but if you want it to have the youtube icon keep reading. Go here, Youtube icons, free icons in iSuite Revoked, (Icon Search Engine) and then click DOWNLOAD ICO (save it into a place you can find again). Go back to the shortcut and right-click. click properties, web document, change icon. Go on Browse and find the image then click open. Then at the bottom click apply, then ok.

Why not just use Chrome? It's a better browser than Edge anyway.
