How do I fix 0x80072f8f when trying to update to windows 10?

0x80072F8F and the ultimate failware

I have a second hand computer with Windows 7. There are some problems that I have fixed on my own but many other problems that cannot be fixed - the failware cannot be fixed by the so-called updater because this updater itself is a failware.

The so-called "updater" just prepares a long list of (alleged) ptoblems and fails to do anything about them. In my user's opinion., an updater should be a one click solution and not this type of failware.

Nor can the system get past the unfixable (so far) 0x80072F8F error (or bug).

The idea is to see if I can get a newer version of OS if it can be done at all.

As a user I may be better than some other users in some things but there are some other things that I have never done and need step by step instructuons that will need to be repeated as many times as needed until the problem is fixed, if it can be fixed at all, hopefully without taking a course in IT.

In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
Are you able to follow them?
In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.
