Windows 10: How do I fix a File Explorer problem so I can work with my documents in Excel

I had a problem with my computer and alot of my files were deleted. However they were in One Drive, so I downloaded them. But now the files are kind of messed up. It is showing like this and I don't know how to remove some of things it is listing. example: C:\Users\dkasp\OneDrive\Pictures\Documents\MG's Swings &^Things, LLCCan you help?????

excel file causes instability in "windows explorer"

When I open an excel file by double clicking on the name in windows explorer, the file opens OK but at the same

time, the explorer file list jumps up and down as it lists and de-lists the

excel temp file. It is very distracting. I can close the explorer window or

simply change to another folder. It occurs only on one of my computers and only on some excel files

It happens only with excel files and not with word or acrobat

Any suggestions where to look for the problem. We've reinstalled Office 10 and reset my windows profile. nothing helped so far.

 

Unable to preview Excel files on File Explorer

Thank you for the steps. This did not help resolve the users issue. She can see some Excel documents on File preview but not all. The size of document does not matter she continues to only able to preview some Excel files on File Explorer not all.

 

File Explorer will not preview Excel documents.

I am running Windows 11 with all updates and Office 365. File explorer will preview all documents (word, pdf, etc) EXCEPT Excel files. Set up a Temporary User account and Excel previewer works! How do I determine the difference between the Temporary User account and my user account so that the Excel previewer works in account?
