Windows 10: How do I fix accidental merge and movement of my Documents folder to my Videos folder that...

I was trying to move all my local files to not use them when I was contemplating selling my laptop. In The process my Documents Library the default one everything documents is saved to was sent to my Videos folder and then both were sent to Onedrive so when saving anything the default location is onedrive\videos\documents. How can i Reset it to the default and keep it that way. my libraries are a mess and I have triples of everything.

Accidentally merged User and Documents folders

Hello,

I was moving some files around on my hard drive and I accidentally merged my User folder with my Documents folder. So in my C:\User directory instead of seeing C:\Users\MyName I see C:\Users\Documents. Seen below:





I have looked through a few different forums on how to fix my mistake, but I am not 100% sure on how to fix it. I believe that I need to make a change in the registry because the data field for "Personal" is %USERPROFILE% and not %USERPROFILE%\Documents.

Can anyone help me with some steps that I can follow so I can resolve my mistake? I don't want to mess up the registry and hurt my machine. Thanks in advance!

 

Pictures Folder Redirects to Documents Folder

Try the suggestion from Manson. Removing those two values should resolve the issue.
