    How do I fix Alt+Tab cycling order in Windows 10 20H2?


    Hi,

    Note: I am not asking how to disable Alt+Tab switching between Edge tabs. That's been written about like a million times. Settings/System/Multitasking/Alt + Tab, I got that.

    So anyway, Windows Alt+Tab behaved the same way since forever. Say you have apps A, B, C and D open. You work in app A, then switch to app B. Now if you Alt+Tab, it switches to app A. Press Alt+Tab again, and it goes back to app B. And over, and over, and over, infinitely. What if you switch from app B to app C? From now, Alt+Tab switches between B and C forever. Simple, consistent, perfect. Right?

    Well, not anymore. Now in 20H2 it goes like A, then B, then C, then A, then D, then friggin' Z, then pretty much anything but the one damn app I want to get back to, and... WTAF? It pisses me off beyond belief. I'm yet to find a pattern, so far it just seems completely random, and it's mindblowingly annoying to me.

    Does anyone know a way to disable this behavior and revert it back to the old?
