  1. How do I fix constant 100% CPU Usage?

Sometimes WMI Provider Host along with Dropbox, Radeon Software Host Application and several Service Hosts start taking up CPU Usage bringing it up to 100%. I use Set Affinity for each process to restrict CPU usage to just one CPU, which works 75% of the time, but 25% of the time new Service Hosts processes start to appear to take up CPU usage and make sure it's back up to 100%. Even when it works I have to set affinity again manually.

I've installed Process Lasso Pro, which works most of the time. This is the solution that has worked best so far since it sets affinity for me automatically, but doesn't keep it from spiking randomly to 100%, which really pisses me off, especially during games.

My processor can handle Windows 10, it's an Intel Core i7-4770. This sort of thing shouldn't happen.

I have found no satisfactory solution to this problem. All the information I've found on Google offers useless solutions that don't fix the problem.

I haven't tried reinstalling windows or installing a different version since I'm afraid of this problem recurring after I spent an entire day formatting, installing windows and installing and configuring apps.

    My specs:

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Version 1909

    CPU: Intel Core i7 4770 @ 3.40GHz

    RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz

Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. B85M-E (SOCKET 1150)

Graphics: 4096MB ATI Radeon RX 570 Series (ASUStek Computer Inc)

Storage: 1TB SATA HD 5400 RPM

    Audio: Realtek High Definition Audio

Let me know if you need more information.

  2. AndreTen Win User

Constant 100% Disk Usage, 60-80% CPU usage. Both happen when idle.

Could you also provide a snapshot of Resource Monitor with selected Disk Activity Tab and checked only System:

i would also suggest running checkdisk and sfc /scannow

  3. Constant CPU usage

    *Original Title: Windows modular installer

I have a constant cpu usage on 25-100%. Even when the computer is doing nothing. The biggest sinner seems to be the windows modular installer. How can i fix this.

I have 2 computers with the same problem. One with win 8.1 and one with win 10.

in Task Manager sort by CPU usage and see what apps are responsible.
