Windows 10: how do i fix dpc_watchdog_violation?

I have used a program called drivereasy to update all my drivers that said should be updated, the issue still persistsI play games, and randomly while playing them the computer will freeze, no audio, no keyboard or mouse inputs, and after a few seconds, it will blue screen and the error code is dpc_watchdog_violationOS: Windows 11 x64Memory: 16 GBProcessor: IntelR CoreTM i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHzMotherboard: ASRock - H410M - HDVVideo Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070SSD: Patriot Burst 240.0 GB

DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

Blue screen: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

After a recent updating, my machine has blue screen every 5 - 10 minutes.

The error code is DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

I saw another post here which suggest to use "iastor.sys". But I don't have that in the driver list. Mine is storahci.sys.

Unable to fix DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

Hi,

Thank you for the minidump files and as per the logs, the issue is caused by ntoskrnl.exe so I suggest you follow the below steps to fix the issue.

Step 1:

Go to search box next to windows icon and type Edit Power Plan

Step 2:

Then click on Change advanced power settings

Step 3:

Expand Harddisk and then expand Turn off hard disk after

Step 4:

Set value for On battery and Plugged into 0 (Zero)

Step 5:

Click/tap on Apply and then press OK.

Step 6:

Restart the PC

Let me know the status after performing the above & if in case it doesn't resolve the issue will provide you with further steps to fix the issue.
