Windows 10: How do I fix error code 0x80070422 on the microsoft store?

I've had issues with download apps and logging in microsoft store and other products that involve Microsoft on my laptop, i've tired basically everything on the web except wiping my drive clean, and other tasks that require the registry editor.

I had tried all except re registering MSoft Store , but that unfortunately did not work .

Very intermittently use SurfEasy VPN, but last time used pre dated this build & problem by some time.

Have built pc systems /rebuilt windows op system literally100's times over 25 years for myself and others, and troubleshooted most known problems but this looks like a reinstall.
Not listed in Microsoft web notice as ongoing issue involving current build.

Only had Store problem once before since it was introduced years ago, and that was easily resolved !

0x80070422 Error

The error code 0x80070422 means "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it".

Press Win + R, type services.msc and click OK. This opens the Services MMC.



Inspect (and fix if necessary) the startup type of the following services and try to start them:

• Windows Update [Start type: Manual]
  
• Background Intelligent Transfer Service [Start type: Manual]
  
• Update Orchestrator Service [Start type: Automatic (delayed start)]
  
• Delivery Optimization [Start type: Automatic]
  

If some services are missing or unable to start, post the names of the missing services or the error message(s) here.
