Windows 10: How do I fix Ethernet error "unidentified network"

I started with a new motherboard because of a supposed network error, now I'm having trouble connecting to the internet. The first error was "No valid IP"; after fiddling around, the error has morphed into "unidentified network" -- I have verified that the problem must be with the computer because the same configuration of cables, router, and modem work with my older computer which I am using now. I don't see any error messages in the device manager section.Network hardware identified as: Realtek PCIe GbE Family ControllerDriver version: 10.68.815.2023The only thing I haven't touched is IEEE

Domain network ethernet not working but wifi does?
