Windows 10: How do I fix hanging and freezing on Windows 10 and browsing?

I am constantly having problems with the laptop which has windows 10 and microsoft edge freezing up for several seconds and sometimes longer when I go to websites. I need to fix this , Thank you.

• Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.

Step 2: I suggest you to run a SFC scan and check if it helps.

System File Checkeris a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

Follow the below steps:

• Right click on the Start button, click on
  Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit
  Enter.
• After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.

Windows 10 freezes randomly

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin

I had tried that as well... no result.
