Windows 10: How do I fix my cursor from coming off of my main monitor when using full-screen...

Playing 3D games like Fortnite, Crab Champions, etc. requires fast actions and reactions. Even though the cursor is supposed to be locked to the app's window, it sometimes flies out into my 2nd monitor at crucial moments. I have made sure that all related settings say it'll keep the cursor in the window, and I've even tried using DMT to lock my cursor to my main monitor.You can replicate this bug by quickly moving your cursor toward your other monitor and double-clicking both the left and right mouse buttons at the same time. Cursor "cross" is transparent

Hi RR and thanks for your reply and suggestion.

Here's an update from my end:

This only happens on my laptop screen when it is plugged into a second monitor.

• If Excel is on the second monitor, then the cursor cross is white.
• If the laptop isn't plugged into the second monitor then the cursor cross is white.

I think the same happens on all Office applications - certainly PowerPoint as well.

From this ^^above, I doubt it is an Excel setting. Not really sure where to start looking for a fix. The issue is that it impedes the use of the application as you keep losing where the damn cursor is.

My workaround is to use PowerPoint Screen Recorder but this need additional screen capture.

The reason for Screen Recorder is Windows 10 Mouse Cursor for Office Menu item disappear when select Screen Capture App. It is cumbersome to show Tech Support what is selected on Office App on captured screen...

Any fix for the Cursor Bug?

while you may have the issue without using more than one monitor, that doesn't mean it doesn't have anything do with the display output hardware. it's actually all three together, not any one single part.

If this is a new problem to your system, chances aredriver bugs have changed the behavior. FYI, i keep my taskbar on the far right screen, on the far right edge, and have never even come close to the taskbar when it happens..for me, it happens when I move the cursor from one monitor to the next.

It's been OVER a year..any simple answer that would fix this has come and gone by now.
