Windows 10: How do I fix my directx errors

All of a sudden this past week my computer has begun to have issues. For example my computer can barely open edge sometimes or games.Whenever I go to open a program or game I receive a error message that will say this version of directx is not supported or failed to initialize graphics driver. Then windows apps and features will stop working whenever I go to open file explore the computer will restart. I can not even open snipping tool when this happens. I have already gone to the Microsoft download for directx and I currently have version 12 but it doesn't matter. I have reinstalled windows a

• Any troubleshooting steps that you have already applied to fix the issue?

Directx error

I was also told to run the CMP as administrator.

To fix the error-

1. Try updating DirectX
2. If that doesn’t work uninstall and reinstall it from the official Microsoft website
3. If still the problem exists then go to start and then type cmd
4. Right click on command prompt and then run as admin
5. In command prompt type sfc/scannow

This will check for problems with system files. This should fix the error.

After I end up doing this it says that there were corrupt files and they were successfully repaired. I try to redownload DirectX again and the same error message comes back up. Im getting exhausted with this. I'm going to jusdt try to uninstall directx as
a whole and then reinstall and hopefully that will fix the problem.

Step 1:

I suggest you to check the DirectX Version installed on your system.

Follow the below steps to check the DirectX Version:

• Press Windows key + R from the Desktop.
• Type dxdiag and hit Enter.
• Check the DirectX Version.

Step 2:

I suggest you to update the Graphic driver from the Device Manager and check if it works.

Follow the below steps:

• Press Windows + R on the Keyboard.
• Type in devmgmt.msc and hit Enter.
• Select Graphic driver from the list.
• Right click on the Graphic driver and click on Update driver Software.

If the issue persists then install the latest graphic driver from the manufacturer and check if it helps.
