Windows 10: how do i fix my microphone being stuck on level zero?

this morning I opened my computer to go on a zoom meeting and realized no one can hear me when I went to my friend who is more familiar with computers he checked and told me that he doesn't know why but my microphone is stuck on level zero how do I fix this?here is what happens when I drag it

Microphone Level to Zero

Why is the Microphone Level being muted without any prompt from the use. Something in background is causing the level to be muted and dropped to zero. Already preformed all the helps listed in this forum, none solved the problem. Since this seems to
be a problem with the operating system, why hasn't Microsoft addressed the shortcoming. cant be positive, but pretty sure this happened after an update from them, as nothing changed in the desktop expect for updates from Microsoft. Very frustrating - VERY.....


Somebody please fix this problem

This issue could have occurred due to incorrect microphone settings or corrupt
