Windows 10: How do I fix my pen writing while hovering? I have the rechargeable one

I have the rechargeable pen for hp pavilion and I have the problem that the pen keeps writing while I am only hovering

1. Check Pen Compatibility: Ensure that the pen is compatible with your HP Pavilion laptop. Not all HP laptops support all HP pens. You can check this information on the HP website or in your laptop's manual.
   
2. Charge the Pen: Make sure the pen is fully charged. The pen might not be discoverable if the battery is low or depleted.
   
3. Reset the Pen: There should be a small reset button on the pen. You might need a paperclip or something similar to press it. Hold the button down for about 5-7 seconds, then release it. The LED on the pen should flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
   
4. Check Bluetooth: Ensure that Bluetooth is turned on in your laptop. You can check this by going to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices. If Bluetooth is off, turn it on.
   
5. Add the Pen: In the same Bluetooth settings, click on "+ Add Bluetooth or other device", then "Bluetooth". Your laptop should start searching for available devices. Your pen should appear in the list if it's in pairing mode.
   
6. Update Bluetooth Driver: If the pen still doesn't appear, you might need to update your Bluetooth driver. You can do this via the Device Manager. Open it, expand the "Bluetooth" category, right-click your Bluetooth device, and choose "Update driver".

Bamboo Pen is connected but it won't write.

We understand the difficulties you are facing with the pen, while using it on the laptop. In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below.

• Was there a major change or an update on your system, prior to which you weren't facing this issue?
  
• What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• What is the model number of the HP Elite book?
  
• What is the model number of the Bamboo pen?
  

However, we would suggest you to perform these steps.



Update the Human Interface Device
driver from device manager.

1. Press Windows + X, select Device Manager.
2. Expand Human Interface Devices.
3. Right click on all the listed devices one by one and click on Update Driver.
4. Please restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

Surface pen not writing.

• Which model of Microsoft Surface you are using?
• Is it not working only in writing mode?
• You have also mentioned Windows 10 PC in your query? Are you facing issue on computer?
