Windows 10: How do I fix my wifi driver that has been corrupted?

Hello, so it seems my wifi drivers have been corrupted. I have already run a troubleshooter and it says it's fine and connected. because I am using a network cable now.The wifi icon in the systems tray has been removed. I have uninstalled the driver and reinstall but no luck.I even downloaded a NEW driver but still came to the same problem. I ran HP support and suggested I do a BIOS FIRMWARE UPDATE. Seeing that I have tried everything online and i'm still stuck. Should I do the update even though it may or may not work.Please let me know if you have any ideas

In future if you face any issues with Wireless connections, I suggest you to un-install and re-install wireless card drivers and check. Follow the steps:

I would suggest you to un-install and re-install wireless card
driver and check. Follow the steps.

• Press Windows key + X.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Network adaptor.

Right click on the wireless card driver and click on Un-install.

Now go to the manufacturer website of your
wireless card or computer and install the latest drivers for your
wireless card and check.

In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
Are you able to follow them?
In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.
