Windows 10: How do I fix my WiFi not showing up after updating the driver

Every time I update my internet driver it disconnects me from the internet and my network no longer is listed as being available. I roll back the driver and it connects fine but in order for me to run a particular program it says that the version of windows is too old and needs to be updated. I have uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it, I tried to fix it through device manager and have gone through the troubleshooting program but nothing has worked. I am stumped on what I am supposed to do.

In future if you face any issues with Wireless connections, I suggest you to un-install and re-install wireless card drivers and check. Follow the steps:

I would suggest you to un-install and re-install wireless card
driver and check. Follow the steps.

• Press Windows key + X.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Network adaptor.

Right click on the wireless card driver and click on Un-install.

Now go to the manufacturer website of your
wireless card or computer and install the latest drivers for your
wireless card and check.

I suggest that you access the Device Manager and update the Drivers for Network adapter and check. Follow the steps :

• Press Windows + X
• Click on Device manager
• Select and Expand Network Adapter from the list
• Right click and choose "Update drivers"

Method 1: Update Network adaptor.

I suggest you to update your network adaptor drivers and check.

• Press Windows key + X key.
• Select Device Manager.
• In device manager go to Network adaptor.
• Right click and click on Update drive software.

You may also download the latest drivers from the manufacturer’s website and install them on your computer.

If the issue still persist, I suggest you to install the network adaptor drivers in compatibility mode and check.



Method 2:



Follow the steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode.

• Download the drivers from the manufacturer’s website.
• Right-click on the installer and click on "Properties".
• Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select previous Operating System from the drop down.
• Click on ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’ and run the file to install it.
