Windows 10: How Do I fix or even reset windows when I disable certain files?

Okay, so I know what I disabled over a year ago, but... I'm not entirely sure WHAT I disabled. If that makes sense. So the truth is, I wanted to download some hacks for a game from a trusted site, but defender kept crashing the hacks even after I disabled the anti-virus the normal way. So I wanted to be smart and disable the Windows defender files entirely, cause it can't run if it's disable through the system files, right? So I did that some how, the fix worked for my purposes until I got bored. The problem is, this prevented any windows updates as well because the access to the security file

that's all off already dude lol, I'm really surprised there is no fix for the recent files list/MRU in the file menu of programs haha

I appreciate the help, MS really needs to implement a Group Policy or a string that can do that for all programs installed

page file cannot truely be disabled... windows will create a new page file even if you set it to disabled.

 

Unable to Backup certain number of files

Step 1: I suggest you to start Volume Shadow Copy service
and set it to Automatic.

Steps to Start the service and set it to automatic:

• Press Windows Key + R on the keyboard and type
  services.msc, Services window gets opened.
• Search for Volume Shadow Copy service, right click on it and click on
  Properties.
• Start the service, set
  Startup type to Automatic.

Step 2: I suggest you to perform clean boot to avoid any third party software conflict and check.
