Windows 10: How do i fix “something happened and your PIN isn’t available. Click to set up your PIN again.”

I’ve tried to troubleshoot with shift-reset and do it from there but i don't have advanced options available so i can’t do it. I also tried hard shut down on my pc 3 times to see if i can open a command prompt there, but it also didn't work. Not sure what to do anymore.

"Something happened and your PIN isn't available. Click to set up your PIN again". When I click on "setup PIN" it does nothing.

WIN 11 upgraded last night from WIN 10 by itself and now I can't get in to the PC. I only have one profile on the PC and I have tried a system fix in advanced options.

Does anyone have any suggestions?? Please help

Since you have a Microsoft account, you should see this instead

If this doesn't work, there are other procedures available to consider.
--- Some of them include registry changes.
--- Are you familiar with working in the registry?

BTW, have you saved your data along with a system image backup ready?
