Windows 10: How do I fix "Sync my Settings" for Windows Themes?

Hi, I have Windows 10 Pro for Workstations Insider Preview. I have a few Windows 10 VM's on VMware and would like to sync my Background and Theme. All VM's are attached to my Microsoft Account. My problem is, I turned off Sync in Settings and can not turn it back on. They're all greyed out. I get the error "Some Settings are hidden or managed by your organization." I've seen this error on Windows 10 Enterprise only it was in Windows Update. It's just me at home so I don't have an organization. Does anyone know how I can fix the error so I can turn Sync back on? I've read about using Group Policy and Regedit but nothing about Syncing, just other problems. I'm attaching a screenshot. Please reply with help. Thanks

Synced Theme


Try this:

• Make sure you have all Integration Services for your Win10 VM turned on.
• Turn off theme syncing in the VM.
• On the host, save the theme for sharing.
• Drag & drop the theme to your VM desktop and click & install it.
• Now see if there are any differences.
• If there are still, it has to do with the virtual hardware.

In Creators Update, you can now customize Windows Themes using the Settings app and get new ones from the Windows Store. Additionally, it also includes an option to set a custom accent color, instead of having to choose from a limited list of predefined
colors. To further rectify your concern, follow these steps to get into your Themes settings:

• Press Windows key + I.
• Click Personalization.
• You will find Themes located at the left side of Personalization options.

If you're having difficulties accessing your Themes settings, kindly specify more details about it. You may also send us screenshots.

Corrupted Personalization Settings and themes

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I suggest you check if the settings are disable in the registries of the PC.

• 
  Press
  Windows+R and type gpedit.msc in the run command.
  
• 
  In the window that appears, you can see the "Local Group Policy Editor" Window.
  
• 
  In this step I want to Prevent Changing Theme file. You click on User Configuration sub-category Administrative Template sub-category Control Panel sub-category Personalization and click on the "Prevent
  Changing Theme".

  In this step right-click on the "Prevent Changing Theme"and select the
  edit tab and click on the edit tab.

  In this step, if you click on the
  Enabled Button then you cannot change the Theme. You click on the Disable Button then you can change the Theme. You click on The Enable Button for Disabling the changing Theme or Prevent Changing Theme.
  
• 
  In this step right-click on your Desktop and select the Personalize tab. In this tab you are unable to change the theme after disabling the changing of the theme or Prevent
  Changing Theme.
