Windows 10: How do I fix taskbar and alt tab

Ok so I’ve tried the lock taskbar and auto hide taskbar it does nothing. Ive done the windows explorer in task manager it’s done nothing and my alt+enter does nothing it’s like it can’t full screen without the taskbar and the thing is the last time I started it it was fine now it’s not. All that’s happened between then was me turning my pc on its side to brush the psu filter off. Ive tried multiple different applications to see if it’s just some that it will do it with but no it’s all of them.

• What exactly happens when you press Alt+Tab keys from the keyboard to switch between the apps?
• Have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?
• What are the troubleshooting steps you have tried to resolve the issue?

As you said Taskbar is not working, and you will minimize all the opened apps to access the one you wish to from Taskbar. Be clear with how exactly you are trying to accessing the apps from Taskbar.

Step 1: I suggest you to check if you have enabled the Auto-hide option for Taskbar, if so try to disable and check if it helps.

Steps to enable auto-hide Taskbar:

• Right click in the empty space on the Taskbar, click on
  Properties,
• Under Taskbar tab, uncheck the Auto-hide the Taskbar option, click on
  Apply and Ok.

Step 2: I suggest you to install all the pending updates on your device.

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type
  updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on
  Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.

problem with alt tab and taskbar its lagging

i need help with my computer, my taskbar and alt tab sometimes is not working (the alt tab works but it doesnt go to other tab it just stays on the same tab) and i have to press the windows key for it to work again but it still happens again. anyone know how to fix?

Thanks for the feedback, SlyJacob. By the way, have you enabled taskbar to show on both displays? If not, then please follow these steps:

• Click the Windows key and select Settings.
• Click Personalization, then select Taskbar.
• Under Multiple displays, toggle On Show taskbar on all displays.

Try pressing Alt+tab again and let us know if the taskbar also appears on the other monitor.
