Windows 10: How Do I Fix the File Explorer Window Border in the Light App Mode?

After the Windows 10 1809 update I noticed I began clicking, closing, and dragging files into the wrong windows. I thought I was simply being careless until I realized why I wasn't able to differentiate between multiple file explorer windows. As you can see from the image below—there is a border line present in the dark app mode but not in the light app mode.



A quick note about the Show accent color on the following surfaces option; I use the light app mode because my background is black (I also don't like the dark app mode). Although enabling the Title bars and window borders option solves the border line issue, it creates a new problem by making the file explorer window title dark which blends into my black background. (See image below)



Are there any Windows registry tweaks/solutions that don't involve adding a drop shadow, or changing the title bar and accent color?

P.S. After every Windows 10 update, I always end up spending hours trying to fix problems caused by the update. This is such a tiresome trend.

I don't use Internet Explorer, I meant the thing where you can look at files etc. Hotkey Windows+E. Maybe it's the wrong name in english though. *Stick Out Tongue

are you running IE7? if not that wouold be my first suggestion,upgrade to ie7 that can fix some stability issues with windows explorer

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
