Windows 10: How do I fix the function of the Wi-Fi, Volume and Action Center buttons on the task bar...

How do I fix the function of the Wi-Fi, Volume and Action Center buttons on the task bar after recent update. I tried support chat and Mac Andrew P took control of my computer and ultimately reinstalled win 10 and left the chat before it was done. It didn't complete so as a result, I still have the problem.

Trouble Changing Wi-Fi Password


I've been following the following steps to change my Wi-Fi password for some time:

1. Launch Control Panel.
2. Click "Network and Internet."
3. Click "Network and Sharing Center."
4. Click "Wi-Fi...."
5. Click "Wireless Properties."
6. Click the Security tab.
7. Check "Show characters."
8. Enter the password in "Network security key."

Those steps have been working just fine, but today I discovered a new wrinkle. If I change the password inside the router first, "Wi-Fi..." doesn't appear in step 4. This isn't much of a problem at home, because I can just change the password in Control Panel before I change it inside the router, but it would be a problem at a public hotspot, or something of that nature. I also tested Brink's instructions in "How to Connect To a Wireless Network in Windows 10," but they don't work for me either. How can I fix this?

Kindly follow the below steps and check if it resolves the issue.

Step 1: Turn Action center ON.

• 
  Open the Start menu, type
  Turn system icons on or off in the search bar and click on Turn system icons on or off from the search bar results.
  
• 
  Turn the Action center on.
  

If the issue persist, follow the below step.

Step 2:

Follow the below steps and check whether you are able to access Action center.

• Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
• Click File > Run New Task.
• Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”.
• Type CMD.
• Type all the following four commands one by one at the CMD prompt:
  

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

sfc /scannow

powershell

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

6.Close the CMD window.
