Windows 10: how do i fix this black screen that i get whenever i start up a game?

I recently did a fresh install on this new pc i bought, and it was working fine for a bit but now all of a sudden when i start up CS2 it freezes in the loading screen and the screen turns black and after a couple of seconds the sound turns off as well. From what ive read i think it may be the gpu because i ran tests on the ram and that isnt the problem so it may be gpu drivers or my psu. pls help
