  1. How do I fix this connectivity icon problem?

I use Malwarebytes Windows Firewall Control. I believe it may be the culprit, but I'm not sure.

    The icon problem: https://i.imgur.com/aSLpyH4.png

On hover, the icon says "no internet access" but the internet works fine and I can access any website using a browser.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the wifi network drivers through Windows update and straight from Intel's support site.

I have tried these in cmd:

    ip config /release

    ip config /renew

    netsh winsock reset

    netsh int ip reset

I believe Windows pings msftncsi.com (93.184.216.34) to check if your internet works.

In the connection logs of Malwarebytes WFC it says NT Kernel & System connects to that IP fine(unless I'm reading this wrong). https://i.imgur.com/n1LWM74.png

Some desktop apps use a Windows API to check if you're connected to the internet and this fucks them up despite me being able to use a browser normally.

How do I fix this? Any tips are welcome!

  2. Network connection icon problem

    Hi all,
Few days ago (since I have switched to Nvidia - I don't know is there any connection between them or not) I have a problem with the network connection icon. After the OS loads in, the icon is still loading about for a minute. When I open Chrome the internet connection is perfect, only the icon shows it's loading. It wouldn't be such a problem, but certain programs (for example GPU-Z) doesn't open until the icon stops loading.
What could be the problem, and how can I solve this? I have already uninstalled / reinstalled the network driver. Nothing has changed.
    Thanks,
    hazazs
