    Printmaster program won't work error hr==S_OK

    Hi,

    Just wondering if anyone has encountered the same problem? I Upgraded from Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 10 Pro.

    Now my PrintMaster Platinum 18.1 program won't work.

    It works on two other computers that were upgraded in my household but 'of course' not mine.

    It apparently installs correctly but when i go to open it, it immediately throws the following error.

    Expression "hr==S_OK" failed at

    Process:

    file:.\pmw.cpp

    line 1836

    I can't find a way to fix this? I tried online chat with Microsoft and they said to get onto Encore - the program support people. But it appears to not be the program, it's something perhaps missing on my computer?

    Can anyone please help? Thanks in advance!!

    cpp file suddenly became binary

    I was editing a cpp file in VS17 in Windows 10. My computer blue screened with the error IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (I don't know if this error is relevant). I waited for it to get to 100% error collection, powered off and back on, and then I could no longer
    open my cpp file. VS17 says that it is binary. I tried opening it in VSCode, and it is a bunch of symbols as if it is actually a binary file.

    Is there a way to get it back to a cpp? I have a recent dll (only one cpp file involved) - is there a way to decompile that to get the original cpp file?
