    How do I fix this odd discoloration on my monitor?


    My monitor shows colors of only white, blue, pink, yellow, and green. This all started when I was playing a game and one of the settings changes the screen to HDR. I originally started off with SDR and I couldn't turn HDR off, so I did a system restore I have done this before. After that my monitor shows this odd discolored screen. This makes it difficult for me to type, read, or even open specific things. It won't allow me to reset my PC. I did the Command Prompt DISM restore health and that did nothing either. I rebooted my pc over and over again. It won't let me open GeForce or nividia so

    Screen discoloration on a monitor after Windows 10 update

    I am currently running a Nvidia GTX 970 with the DVI and HDMI ports in use by seperate monitors. The HDMI port’s output creates a discolored imade that is not right. The DVI port however, is completely fine. The drivers were also just updated. If anyone
    has a fix, that would help a lot.

    Did some research.

    Make sure the HDMI male end is connected securely into the female end. Sometimes loose fitting connection can contribute discoloration.

    Discoloration on certain applications

    All solved, turns out i was using a default color ICC profile for my Dell Monitor in Color Management , but when switching to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 (It might be named differently for others) and setting it as my default, it fixed all the color discoloration of every single application.
