Windows 10: How do I "fix unable to save there was an error while saving. Please try again" windows...

Please don't be that tech person acting nice talking like AI robot telling me to troubleshoot, go into setting to repair, reset and also reinstall because I did all of that and I still didn't work please give me a genuine fix because I had this problem for months now I and I know it windows updated issue please give me a genuine fix I also see other people post and I don't see any fix on those post

Unable to Save Favorites in Maps app

Computer

• What is the make and model of your Computer?
• Have you installed all the pending updates on your computer?
• Which Windows 10 build is installed on the computer?
• What happens when you try to save the favorites?
  
• Do you get any error message or code?

At first you have to sign in using a Microsoft account, if you have not logged the saved favorite’s will be not be visible next time when you open Map app.Also make sure Date, Time and Region are
set correctly.

Suggest you to follow below steps to save your favorite location on you Maps app on your computer.

• Open Map App, Search for the location.
• On the left pane Click on the Star Icon to save your favorite place.

If you are still unable to save favorites on your computer follow the below methods.

Method 1: I suggest you to run Windows Store apps troubleshooter from the below Microsoft Help Article and check if it helps.

• Make sure Date, Time and Region are set correctly, try to restart your phone and check if will be able to Save the Favorite location.
• Also check if there are any update available for this from Store>Menu>Downloads and updates>Check for updates.

Suggest you to follow below steps to save your favorite location on you Maps app on your computer.

Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

Download CCcleaner from here...........

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

 

Error Save As

Neither do I, but I'm betting that's where the problem lies, maybe unable to access OneDrive on particular instances (hence the intermittent occurrences). @fordguy1 I suspect this is one of those Window's "error of last resort" ... Windows can't quite identify what's wrong so it looks through its database of error messages and flashes up the next best thing, quite often totally irrelevant and therefore misleading. All I can suggest is stop trying to save direct to OneDrive {S{h{u{d}d}e}r}, save somewhere else on your drive and manually mo0ve to the Pictures drive which OneDrive has obviously appropriated. Nothing to do with ransomeware
