    How do I fix Windows after an SSD goes dead?


    I had a SSD containing Windows 11 go dead so I am without a computer. I got a new drive and a USB to install windows again however windows won't install due to there being a "copy of Windows" already installed. The SSD I had it on is unplugged and unreadable to the system so I can't use it to change this. How do I solve this issue?

    windows 10 oem reactivation due to dead ssd

    i sold a computer installed and activated windows 10 its an oem , ssd hard drives goes dead after 2 months or so , if i change ssd how to have windows activated again thanks.

    Is my SSD dead?

    It happened about a month ago so I'm can't remember the exact details of how it died. I think I restarted the PC and the message was there I had no OS. Today I popped in my mirrored HD and was up running. I hocked up the SSD and restarted the PC but no sign of the SSD. Power is on (Zalman “hot swap” case has a power LED for each disk). I tried to find it in DOS but the drive is no where to be found. Any suggestions for a next step? It 1½ month past RMA but the important thing is to retrieve some of the files.
