Windows 10: How do i fix windows start up sound, windows logon is missing in sounds settings.

It's not a big deal but i've an issue regarding windows start up window logon sound, i have checked in personalize settings, checked sounds setting in which i found windows logon missing. there's no windows sounds when logon. current os : Win11all are updated

Method 1

I suggest you to follow the steps below to change the windows start up sound.

• 
  Type sounds
  in the control panel.
  
• 
  Click on sounds.
  
• 
  Under program events ,under
  windows just click windows logon.
  
• 
  Enable play start up sounds.
  
• 
  From speech
  select the sound for windows logon.
  
• 
  Click on apply.
  
• 
  Click ok.
  

Method 2

I suggest you to follow the steps below to change the windows log off sound.

  Type sounds in the
  control panel.
  
• 
  Click on sounds.
  
• 
  Under program events ,under
  windows just click windows logoff.
  
• 
  From speech select the sound for
  windows logoff.
  
• 
  Click on apply.
  
• 
  Click ok.
  

If windows logon and logoff options are not available,then in that case you just need to

• 
  Enable play start up sounds.to get the windows start up sound .And by default there will be single sound available for windows logon sound.

How to change Windows starting sound in Win7?

Right click on your desktop then from the list choose Personalise and this window should open.




If you look at the bottom of my pic you should see the windows sounds option, I have put a red circle round this in the pic.

Click on sounds and another box will load and here you should have the option to change the startup sound.





You can choose you own sound by using the browse button.

You can also use the dropdown list to set a windows sound and this should not effect any other sounds as far as i remember.

Control panel > Sounds and sound devices > Sounds
There select Start windows or Windows logon and Stop windows or windows logoff and select a sound file to play in that scenario. Browse through the list and you'll see many points at which you can select a sound to play.
