Windows 10: How do I force Java links to open exclusivly in one instance workgroup of edge, while still...

Hi there, our company uses a Java program Jet that is being built stage by stage to open in edge instead of Java. As it is being built some asspects links of the Java program still open in Java, while the "modernized" links open to Edge. Eventually it will be a soley Edge based program. I have built a workgroup for Jet and I would like all Jet links to open into this workgroup instance, while outside source links such as links that come thru emails should open into a separate instance of edge. Essentially haveing one instance soley Jet based links and one open separately for anything n

Can't open Outlook links in Edge

Hi,

In order for us to assist you better, kindly answer the questions below:

• Dose this problem occur on a particular website or all the links you try to open from Outlook?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done?

In the meantime, we suggest that you reset Microsoft Edge. Kindly refer to the steps below:

• Open Microsoft Edge.
• Click on More options […].
• Click on Settings.
• Click on ‘Choose what to clear’.
• Select all of them and click on Clear all.

Two instances of Java installed


I seem to have two instances of Java installed on my Win10 Pro 64-bit Laptop .. see screenshot below.
Can I safely uninstall one of them?

If "yes" then which one? I have no clue how I ended up with 2 x Java installs on my laptop
I'm assuming I should keep the 64-bit install, and delete the other? I use Chrome as my usual browser, but very occasionally use Edge

Or do I need both of those Java installs?

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: Clear caches and cookies of Internet Explorer.

Follow the steps below:

• 
  Press Shift + ctrl + Delete key on your keyboard.
  
• 
  Mark check on cache and cookies and click on Delete button.
  

Step 2: Run Printer troubleshooter.

  Type troubleshooting in the search area on the taskbar and select
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select View all on the top left corner.
  
• 
  Click Printer.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
