    How do I force shut down Windows 10 from the terminal without invoking update installation?


    I have had bad experiences with Windows 10 messing with my partitions. I would like to skip updates by forcing a shut down from the terminal. How may I do that?

    I looked at this. It didn't tell me anything about updates.

    Would

    shutdown /s /f /p

    do the trick?

    Thanks a lot for your link. But I'm facing an issue, after change the execution policy, I think that the remote signed isn't working. Here is the error I've got :

    Windows 10 forced download

    ^This, then reboot and go to manually update windows. Find KB3035583 in the list of available updates, right-click and "Hide this update" so it doesn't get installed again next go around.
