  1. How do I forget a device I saved when changing my password?

I recently changed my password via Security > Change Password. Before arriving at the "Change your password" screen where I enter my current and new password, I was asked to authenticate my Microsoft account. I chose a text message with a code as my authentication method.Upon entering the code, the "Save this device" or something of that sort checkbox had been checked by default, effectively saving my device.I realize my device was saved only for authentication purposes. However, I can't find my device in the Devices menu.May someone please help me unsave, or forget, my device? I prefer no

    :)

  2. How do I forget a device I saved when changing my password?

    Zadee,

Thank you for responding. I tried your suggestion, and it did not work.

The phone number alias is not what I am looking to forget. I am looking to forget the *device* (other than my phone) that I saved when authenticating my account as part of changing my password.

To see what happens, I suggest you try the same beginning few steps as I did.

    (1) From within your Microsoft Account, follow Security > Change Password.

    (2) If an authentication screen appears, choose an authentication method.

    (3) On the next screen, there will be a checkbox that reads "Save device" or "Do not knock off my device" or something along those lines. This checkbox essentially remembers your device so you do not need to authenticate in future instances of changing your password.

The checkbox was checked by default. I did not want to select this option. I would have liked to uncheck it before proceeding. Now my device is saved. I would like to unsave, or forget it.

Let me know if you need more clarification.

    Thanks.

  3. How do I forget a device I saved when changing my password?

I recently changed my password via Security > Change Password.

Before arriving at the "Change your password" screen where I enter my current and new password, I was asked to authenticate my Microsoft account. I chose a text message with a code as my authentication method.

Upon entering the code, the "Save this device" (or something of that sort) checkbox had been checked by default, effectively saving my device.

I realize my device was saved only for authentication purposes. However, I can't find my device in the Devices menu.

May someone please help me unsave, or forget, my device? I prefer not saving my device, even for changing my password.

In the long term, making the option to unsave, or forget, a device more clear in the Microsoft Account interface would be great. Thank you.
