Windows 10: How do I gain access to an an old account that I don’t have access to it anymore? Not sure...

I made a Hotmail account when I was younger and no longer use that account. But I have old Xbox stuff connected to it that I would like to use now. Like cross progression for Rainbow 6 siege. I don’t know the password nor the account security answers to recover the account. What can I do?

How to gain access to the WindowsApps folder?


To gain write access you need to do two things:

1. Change ownership (it should be "TrustedInstaller") to an admin account
2. Grant that account write access

I'm not sure if it works with every admin account or if you need the "real" admin account which is hidden. It can be revealed by entering the following command in elevated cmd: net user Administrator /active:yes (or active:no do hide it again).

Old email account is not accessible.

When I get to the "Switch with a local account" the screen asks me to enter my password from my non-accessible email account. It wants to send me a code. How do I access my old email account for this code when that email account doesn't exist anymore?
