Windows 10: How do I get audio to my Turtle Beach Stealth Series 600 Gen 2 Max?

I recently got my headset in the mail and in the progress of setting it up, I've noticed I do not hear anything. I made sure it was updated and I can hear my mic but I could not hear game chat, party chat, or even videos from youtube. When I checked my device settings, it said that there was a slight volume but even still I couldn't hear anything. I've made sure the device transmitter is set to USB and not XBOX.

Changing master volume doesn't change volume on Turtle Beach Recon 600

The change in master volume won’t affect the volume on your headset until and unless the device is set as
default. I suggest you to set the headphone as default device and see if the issue persists.

• Connect the audio device to your PC.
  
• Right click the speaker icon on the taskbar and choose
  Sounds.
  
• Under Playback
  tab, right click on your headset and set it as default audio device.
  
• Exit sound control panel, and check if the issue persists.

Turtle beach stealth 300 mic not working on pc

I have the turtle beach stealth 300 and the splitter cable for pc but the computer cant pick up the mic well need advice
